Chapter 3: The Second Fountain War

The station at 6VDT-H where TEST Alliance made its famous last stand would once again become the subject of a memorable battle in EVE Online history.

The myth of Mittani grew for seven years until one day, in 2015, small circles of key players began to discuss the possibility that the emperor was not wearing clothes.

Telling the story of how it all happened makes me - as this story's narrator - a little uncomfortable for reasons that will become evident as it unfolds.

The reason is because the story of The Mittani's downfall began the same way my story did: with a Kickstarter for a book about the history of EVE Online.

I ask for your patience as my objectivity becomes unavoidably entangled. Maybe because of that I'm not even the best person to tell it, but every source I spoke to who was opposed to The Imperium cited this as the moment when large-scale defiance of Imperial reign first seemed plausible.
